 My name is James Owens, and I am the owner of Steel City Home Repairs.  I have 31 years of experience in the construction industry and 23 years as a union carpenter.  I received extensive training in the commercial industry.  I have worked in a variety of markets such as health care, office buildings, government, hotels, sport and entertainment, education, and mixed-use.  I worked for PJ Dick in Pittsburgh, PA for 18 years and served as a project superintendent on several challenging renovation projects, many of which were in occupied buildings. I have strong coordination and communication skills, as well as a background as a skilled carpenter. My hands-on approach allows me to work with the entire team: clients, designers, project managers, and subcontractors. I have a hard work ethic backed by a commitment to safety.
